Christmas Convoy and World Wide Scrapbooking Freebies

December 1st has arrived and the convoy has started it's journey. I hope that you are on board for the entire ride because it will be a great one! My preview of this freebie collab is below with download links below that.

This kit is also part of the World Wide Scrapbooking Freebies event. So you actually have two places to visit to get some freebies today. Be sure to snag them all. It may take a while, so grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your time of freebie gathering!!

Now that you have downloaded my part, be sure to follow the rest of the convoy (all 44 of us) on this wonderful journey. The list is below. Remember, though, that the designers are all around the world and on different time zones. So if you visit a designer that isn't ready yet, be sure to stop back later.

Enjoy your trip and I'll see you back here tomorrow for another adventure!

Happy traveling,
Carolyn

Happy Thanksgiving to You All

This is the day when we sit down to dinner with family and friends and express our thanks. Throughout the year, more often than not, we grumble and complain about what we have to do, the weather, waiting in lines, crazy NYC drivers (I guess that might affect just me, LOL!!) and on the list goes. Today is the one day of the year that we remember to give thanks.

But I see a problem with this. We have so much to be thankful for and not just during this one day each year. Have you been healthy this year? Then you can be thankful for your good health every day. What about your family? They may drive you nuts, but I'll bet that you are still thankful for them all year long. Are you thankful that you have a place to live, a job, food on the table, friends? I could go on, but I think that you understand where I'm going with this. Regardless of our circumstances, we can and should give thanks in all things. God's Word tells us "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thess. 5:19).

You may not like that I have quoted Scripture, but this is part of my life -- a part that I haven't shared here before. However, I'm hoping to change all of that, starting today. You see, Jesus Christ has been in my life for 43 of my 50 years on this earth. He is my Saviour and Lord and I am SO thankful for that. I wouldn't be able to get through life without Him and I'm thankful that I don't have to.

So, this year what am I thankful for? First and foremost that Jesus is my Lord and that He has saved me from eternity without Him. Secondly, I'm thankful for my family. Without their support, I wouldn't be here writing this blog post. They have been behind me 110% in whatever endeavor that I have undertaken. So often I take them for granted but they still support me. I love you Ralph, Edward and Johannah, more than you will ever know!! I'm thankful for so much more. If I continue to list everything, we would be here all day.

But I didn't want this day to go by without letting you know how thankful that I am for each of you that faithfully come to my blog to read or download your freebies. Even if you don't read my blog, I'm still thankful for you!!

Enjoy your day and remember "give thanks in all things" not just the good!

Thankfully,
Carolyn

P.S. Do you like the new blog look? I've been working on this for a couple of days and am thrilled with how it turned out. You'll find that the previews in the old posts are cut off somewhat, but I just don't want to go back and change them all. I'll make sure that any new posts with freebie previews will be there in their entirety. I'd love your feedback on the new blog look. Be blessed!

Sneak Peak of Things to Come

I've been busy baking pies and getting ready for our feast tomorrow. But I wanted to stop by and give you a sneak peak on what you can expect on December 1 -- only a few days away!

As you probably know, I've joined several blog trains and the first one leaves on Monday. I'm very pleased with the kit that I've made for you. The other parts are fabulous. You will really enjoy what is in store for you.

So enjoy this little peak and be sure to come back on Monday to follow the Christmas Convoy on it's journey.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and/or friends.

Back, Finally

I'm finally back to blog land. It was a crazy busy weekend and I'm glad it's over. I didn't sell as much of my stamped items as I wanted to. I think the economy has just hit everyone way too hard. However, the friend that I worked with is taking the cards into Manhattan on December 13 to try and sell them there. And she plans on taking them to work so that her co-workers can purchase some. It was fun just hanging out and talking even if we didn't sell a whole lot.

I do have one last add-on for my Giving Thanks kit. I've just enjoyed those turkeys too much and decided to make some binder clips for you. So, click the preview to download today's freebie.

BTW, the clips are shown at 50% size.

I don't know if I'll be back before Thanksgiving, so have a blessed day. Enjoy your family and friends and don't eat too much!!

Don't forget to come back on December 1 when the Christmas Convoy starts it's journey. I'll try to give you a sneak peak sometime this week.

More Giving Thanks Goodies

This weekend is the craft fair that I'm participating in. I've stamped 250 cards and 33 magnetic notepads to sell. My shoulders and back hurt a little from the bending but that will be gone by tomorrow. I'm hoping to sell out; I don't want to bring any of it home. The fair is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'll be there for the full time tomorrow and Saturday and after church on Sunday. The person that I'm working the booth with understands this and is fine with it. So, I doubt that I'll be posting much if at all.

I wanted to play a little this evening after I finished my stamping and decided to make some additional paper for your scrapping pleasure. I really liked the turkeys that I gave you the other day and wanted to do something with them. And since I won't be around all weekend, I thought that a little something extra would be nice. So, click the preview to download this freebie paper pack.

Enjoy your weekend and I'll catch you on Monday.

Store Closing, Sort Of

I just found out that the store where I am selling my kits will be terminating contracts of all its designers at the end of the month. The owner of the store is going through some very serious health problems and just can't keep up with everything. If you pray, please pray for Michelle. She really needs the prayer right now as she faces dialysis.

So, what does that mean for the contest? That means that you have until the end of this month to head on over and purchase one of my kits. Don't forget to email me a copy of the invoice so that I can add your name to the drawing. I will draw the winner's name on December 1 and will notify that person on that date.

I'm hoping to find another outlet for selling my kits. I may just offer them for sale via my blog and have you pay with PayPal. I'll be sure to let you know when I make that decision. In the meantime, I'm still going ahead with my plan of one more full sized freebie kit and mini kits starting in January. Keep checking back for details.

I do have another add-on for my Giving Thanks kit. Just a few more papers for you today. So, click on the preview to download today's freebie.

Enjoy the rest of your day and stop back again. Who know when the next goodie will be posted for you.

Contest Reminder

Just a quick reminder of the contest that I have going on.

  • purchase one, two or all 3 of the kits that I have in the store (if you spend $5 you will receive a Thanksgiving collab kit absolutely free -- and it's a biggie)
  • email me a copy of your invoice
  • your name will be added to a drawing to have a freebie kit designed especially for you
All the details can be seen on this post. You can't lose; you only have something to gain with this contest.

I'm working on additional kits for the store as well as paper packs and other goodies. So keep checking the store for new goodies. Click the blinkie on the right and then look for my name on the left hand side and click the Digi Cyber Scraps button.

Happy shopping,
Carolyn
